Sunday wakes up with us. I get ready for work. Did the lawn yesterday. What's left of it. i ordered a set of Xbox headphones. Have to pick them up today.there is only 2 of us transporting today, hope it won't get too crazy! What is for lunch I wonder. Golden mushroom soup was hot, sat there and looked at it for about 12 minutes. Circled the kitchen a couple of times, and pretended I was checking my watch, but I wasn't wearing one actually, and I was alone, so who was I pretending for it reminded me, the cats maybe? I do have she drew pictures, i circled around some more, cats played, while some of them slept. it was a busy day at work today. i walked many miles, there is no better feeling, than waking up and knowing that you are going to work today, to me its a honor, i am lucky, really, to have a destination, i will do my part today, not to just earn that pay, but to be that small wheel that turns bigger wheels and so on .... i truly believe that if you do the best you can around you, like a ripple , if we all do it , it will become a wave, and we can change the world, it will go out and make it a better world.

It's been awhile, I know, hope you are always fine ,we are here ,Doing good and trying to pass our days the best ofPossible ways. Been thinking about meditation, I, and been trying very hard to learn how to quiten my mind to a stand still. Been practicing breathing! I am a Vegetarian most of the time. Johnny woodman is the name of my last found kitten. I walk home 4 lunch. I walk a lot actually! Bought an electric cigarret. Going food shopping tonight. I read a book about writing a book. I am thinking about writing one . It would be about everything and nothing at the same time. I get lots of ideas between 630am and 700am while I drive to get this and that. It is a beautiful day today, exactly 73 degrees. The wind yesterday cleared the smog and you can see Catalina from here. We should go there I think 2 myself.

Something to think about….

Washington, DC Metro Station on a cold January morning in 2007. The man with a violin played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time approximately. 2 thousand people went through the station, most of them on their way to work. After 3 minutes a middle aged man noticed there was a musician playing. He slowed his pace and stopped for a few seconds and then hurried to meet his schedule.

4 minutes later:

The violinist received his first dollar: a woman threw the money in the hat and, without stopping, continued to walk.

6 minutes:

A young man leaned against the wall to listen to him, then looked at his watch and started to walk again.

10 minutes:

A 3-year old boy stopped but his mother tugged him along hurriedly. The kid stopped to look at the violinist again, but the mother pushed hard and the child continued to walk, turning his head all the time. This action was repeated by several other children. Every parent, without exception, forced their children to move on quickly.

45 minutes:

The musician played continuously. Only 6 people stopped and listened for a short while. About 20 gave money but continued to walk at their normal pace. The man collected a total of $32.

1 hour:

He finished playing and silence took over. No one noticed. No one applauded, nor was there any recognition.

No one knew this, but the violinist was Joshua Bell, one of the greatest musicians in the world. He played one of the most intricate pieces ever written, with a violin worth $3.5 million dollars. Two days before Joshua Bell sold out a theater in Boston where the seats averaged $100.

This is a true story. Joshua Bell playing incognito in the metro station was organized by the Washington Post as part of a social experiment about perception, taste and people’s priorities.

The questions raised:

*In a common place environment at an inappropriate hour, do we perceive beauty?

*Do we stop to appreciate it?

*Do we recognize talent in an unexpected context?

One possible conclusion reached from this experiment could be this:

If we do not have a moment to stop and listen to one of the best musicians in the world, playing some of the finest music ever written, with one of the most beautiful instruments ever made.

Pleasant Visitors come and go

Last month we had visitors. Kirsi finely got to meet his grandson, Kaarpo, one year old now whom i have to say is a quite a joyful character, smart, so very happy and cool. he rocked to music any chance he got nodding his head , tapping his feat and walked around and lit up the rooms like a little sun he is. Sirpu like kirsi always says is the perfect mom and you could see and feel so very clearly all the love that she has for him when she holds or looks at him. Her boyfriend Lauri also is very bright young man and a good dad, of course accompanied them.
We tried to show some of Hollywood and Los Angeles area, also some of the beaches. At nights we barbequed and sat outside and kirsi caught up with all the news from Finland. We both hope that they will come back soon and stay longer next time. Kirsi also has a son that we are hoping will visit us next few months.

The corpse rolled in the elevator early morning i just clocked in, good morning nurse was pushing it , we met in silence of early Sunday, the dead man behaved like such a good dog , i had to kiss him between the ears.
Frank who was 97 told me , you know i thought i would never make it so far but u want to hear something strange my mom told me when i was born and the mid wife wrapped me in a little blanket and handed me to her, the mid wife said i will live to be a 100 years old, how did she know ? isnt this strange? amazing , i said , ...
few hours later i met a Robert we spoke and i shared with him that my name is also Robert, he said you want to hear something strange, i like strange and i said yes, he said in a book he read that Robert means a beacon of light!!! havent googled it yet but who cares when it s all good at the end.

I turn the pages , or are they just seconds beating against the void like a drum, the nothing that gives birth to all that there is.

How time flies, and how difficult it is to catch up to it and put it back into its cage! its been a very interesting few months. Our cat seerpoo had 7 kitties, 6 boy s and 1 girl few weeks ago. you can imagine our place, all you see is just little colorful furballs shooting across our feet like some low altitude kamakazi pilots, until they get tired and bunch up together and sleep. as i type this words 3 have been adopted and we have 3 to go, we will keep one. after birth the mother cat got sick, started losing weight, and 1600 dollars later she is doing fine now, thanks to heavenly influances and good doctors ofcourse.
We are facing summer now and it seems its going to be a long one. so it goes the circle and round we spin in an orbital dance around the sun.
