isnt it fantastic? i am in the same boat as you, always wanted to get out of this town but i am still here. Alaska is so beautiful, would really like to check it out someday even if its for just a visit, camping out by a lake and watching the Auroras. maybe one day, who knows what surprises the future has for us.

My sister almost moved there. She would spend months there. I've never been, but when I can, I hope to go, plus take a cruise to the Artic Circle. This is absolutely stunning.

Damn. That photo just rocks. I imagine the real-time experience, surrounded by Alaskan wilderness and looking up, reverent, in the Arctic heavens rocks even more . . .

Check out Chris at Inspiration, Move Me Brightly. He lives in Fairbanks and blogs frequently about his outdoor experiences . . .

Hi Rob
I do love living in New Mexico. There are a lot of open spaces here and I live near a beautiful chain of mountains.
