I like that quote. What have you read by him? I've only read the Sorrows of Young Werter.(sp)

i have only read Faust / part 1 and part 2, Faust part I has a dedication poem in the start of the book, its one of my most favorite i will post it, its a short one. the last two lines is:
All that i have stands off from me afar,
and i lost is real, my guiding star.
always loved those lines. must read whole thing. i am not familiar with young werter, i will check it out. hope you feel better.

I read Faust as well--I forgot. Sometimes I get Goethe confused with Thomas Mann--I don't know why.
